"The Queen of Ink"
Susan Wirth, Godmother of Pen Shows, and Patron Saint of Janesville's Parker Pen, departed Milwaukee, on Tuesday, 9 May, 2017, using her Northwest Sky Miles to place a Fine Italic fountain pen from her ink stained hand into God's hand! Born 30 March, 1946, in Milwaukee, WI. Survived by Susan's faithful companion, John Martinson. Loving sister of Stuart (Kathleen), of Cross Plains, WI, Allan (JeanAnn) of Wauwatosa, and Robert (Sue) Wirth, of Modesto. CA. A lifetime resident of Milwaukee, she was a former Treasurer of the Milwaukee Press Club, an award winning radio and TV personality for WQFM, WFMR, and WVTV Channel 18. She was a gifted marketing analyst for Dieringer Research Group. Susan was an architectural historian, and the Official Archivist for George Zagel. Susan was a famed collector of Wisconsin art, vintage writing instruments and was a renowned lecturer, often cited in print and online publication including frequent contributions involving rare and unusual pens, pencils, and ephemera. Susan was celebrated globally for her exceptional skill educating clients and matching "a pen for every hand." Parker Quink flowed through her veins. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Susan's name. A celebration of life will be on Saturday, May 20, at The Tripoli Shrine Center, 3000 W. Wisconsin Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53208, with service at 12:00 PM. Shoes are optional, Darling.
